Divorce

I have never been a fan of couples staying together just for the children, so I somewhat understand about the recent Jon & Kate happenings. However, I do think that too many couples give up on their marriage without a fight! Ever hear of marriage/couples councling? And us married folk with children have to make time for our spouse! A marriage will never last without work!!! An occassional date night out or even a quiet night in without the kid(s)...whatever it takes for the two of us to stay connected and always remember what made us fall in love in the first place!

Just wanted to share my thoughts!

Thanks for listening!

Growing Baby Raegan

She's 9 months and some days now and getting bigger and more independant by the minute...a little sad but great at the same time!

She has been crawling for 2 months now and gets in to everything. She pulls up on everything, the couch, kitchen chairs, ottoman, walker, tv stand and everything else! In the last week or so she has started walking along the things she pulls up on. She's becoming a pro and will hopefully start to walk soon!

She talks all the time. There are lots of things we can make out like mama, dada, bye, baba and such. She sits in the floor playing with her toys and just talks up a storm. We certainly don't understand these conversations, but I'm sure she knows exactly what she's saying! I tried to get one of these convos on video, but of course she stopped as soon as she noticed the camera was on her. I'll get it soon!

That's about it for now. I'll keep y'all posted when something new begins!

My New Journey!

I’m currently at my heaviest weight ever (outside of being pregnant) and I’m OVER it! I’d like to have another baby in the near future and want to get in better shape before I wreck my body again!

My weight as of now is 191…OMG…I want to barf then cry as I type that…but anyway. There’s no time like the present to take action!!!

Here goes…

Because it’s worked for me in the past, I’m going to jump start my weight loss with Slim Fast. I know that it’s not a permanent fix and that if I return to eating junk I will gain back everything I’ve lost plus some. I’m going to have a Slim Fast shake for breakfast and lunch. And as an added bonus I have coupons for them!!!! For snacks I will eat things such as popcorn (low or no butter & salt), rice cakes, fruits, & veggies. I will do the Slim Fast thing for the next couple of months while I research and figure out what type of lifestyle eating changes are going to work best for me.

As for my biggest problem…drinking…no not alcohol…but SODA! It’s totally my weakness. Typically I have about 4 or 5 cans of soda a day. Gasp, I know! I’m not trying to have a constant headache or anything like that, so I’m not going to quit the soda cold turkey. For now, I’m cutting back to 1 a day then would eventually like to cut soda out of my diet completely as I don’t want Raegan (and any future child{ren}) getting addicted to it! I know that water is a big part of getting and staying healthy so I’m starting with 1 - 33.8 oz bottle a day. Once I get used to that I’ll up it to 2 a day and so on as needed!

Finally…I know that without exercise no diet is going to work! While I would love to join a gym, I just don’t have the money! So working out at home it is!!! I’m at home all day and Raegan takes at least 2 – 30 minute naps a day, so I should be able to squeeze in some sort of exercise. I’ve asked lots of friends and several have had success with the Slim in Six workout regimen. So I’ve got my copy on DVD and will be starting it on Monday (it’s at my sister’s house)! I’m also going to take every opportunity to be up and moving around the house be it vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, doing laundry, and/or any other household cleaning rather than sitting down to watch TV!

Hopefully putting this all out there will help hold me to it! Guess we’ll see! Here I am now (taken today). Aren’t I lovely?!?!?! I’ll keep you all posted on my progress (hopefully anyway)!

To be continued…
